The Townscape Heritage Initiative is a five year scheme aimed at safeguarding the distinct character of Bridgwater Town Centre. The scheme is targeted on priority buildings and will provide grants for their repair, restoration and continued use.
Grant aid is targeted at specific buildings and sites that are considered a priority. Your building must be identified as a 'target' in the T.H.I. Action Plan. Only in exceptional circumstances can new buildings be added.
The scheme is funded by a partnership of the Heritage Lottery Fund, local government, local businesses and interested organisations including Sedgemoor District Council, Somerset County Council, Bridgwater Chartered Trustees, Wyvern Environmental Trust, Bridgwater Town Centre Partnership, Bridgwater Chamber of Trade and the Bridgwater and District Civic Society. If you are interested in being part of the funding partnership please contact the office.
